Lichuan Emily Wu

Ms. Lichuan Emily Wu

Associate Researcher, Department of Education, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

Before joining the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA), Lichuan Emily Wu gained valuable experience in exhibition planning and execution at art museums. This background later became an asset when she transitioned into museum administration at NTMoFA’s Education Department, where she took on responsibilities that required direct engagement with audiences—particularly those with special service needs. Through this work, Wu developed a heightened awareness of the “barriers to art” often felt by the general public. For more than a decade at NTMoFA, Wu has led accessibility programs for a wide range of groups, including visitors with visual or hearing impairments, socially isolated older adults and intergenerational families, people with dementia and their caregivers, as well as students with disabilities. From years of practice, she has embraced the educational principle that “tailored services for the few pave the way to full inclusion.”
